Abstract

Learn about Massive X's Header, including preset management, MIDI control and Macros.

The Header at the top of Massive X provides you with functions related to preset management and plug-in behavior. You can access these functions via the Settings menu on the left as well as the central Browser and Preset menu. Additionally, the Header features Macros and MIDI control sources that you can use to play and edit your sound.

Header Overview

Sitting at the top of Massive X's interface, the Header provides easy access to a number of important elements, including the Browser, Master Volume, Settings menu, and macro controls.

  1. Settings menu: Provides options for managing user presets and adjusting the plug-in's visual appearance. For more information, refer to Settings Menu.

  2. Browser and Presets menu: Opens the Browser, providing access to all your factory and user presets. Advanced filtering helps you to search, load and save sounds. Click the library icon or preset name to open to Browser. Refer to Browser and Presets.

  3. Master Volume: Adjusts the volume level with the slider and displays the output signal in the meter.

  4. Logo: Opens a dialog with information on the version number, license, and credits of the instrument.

  5. Macros and MIDI controls: Contains controls used to adjust and assign macros and MIDI control sources that can be used to play and modify your sound. Refer to Macros and MIDI Control.

Settings Menu

The Settings menu in the Header provides options for managing User content, adjusting the visual appearance of the interface, and setting control sensitivity. You can also access learning resources and set Usage Data Tracking.

  • To open the Settings menu, click the arrow icon next to the Massive X logo in the Header.

The Settings menu contains the following entries:

  • Show User Content Folder: Opens the folder on the hard drive containing your user content. Refer to Managing User Presets.

  • Learn more about Massive X...: Opens the Native Instruments website where you can follow the Quick Start Guide, download the Manual, and watch video tutorials.

  • View Size: Provides eight size settings for the plug-in and saves the selected size as the default.

  • Control Sensitivity: Provides nine settings for the sensitivity response of knobs and sliders.

  • Theme: Provides six different visual appearances for the plug-in. In addition to the default setting, Dark and Light color schemes are available, as well as Flat versions that are optimized for efficiency.

  • Usage Data Tracking: Offers more information about Usage Data Tracking, and the option to activate or deactivate the feature.

  • Rescan Content: Updates the Browser to reflect all changes made to the User Content folder. Refer to Managing User Presets.
