Stalker
groovebox that wants to be Lurker when it grows up!
DESCRIPTION
for Reaktor 5 only!
this is a 4 voice, FM-based groovebox i created that feeds a delay effect taken from the R5 Factory Library effect "Lurker" (hence the menacing name - ooh, scary!). it is performance inspired, with a built-in snapshot system that allows storing/recalling/morphing and randomizing of snapshots from within the instrument panel, including the sequencer patterns.
Stalker uses both the A and B panels of the Stalker instrument:
the A panel contains the synthesizer panel, plus the snapshot controller. to the right, a basic outline of the ensemble is contained here describing how the differant parts are connected. also, note the 4-part modulation matrix, which allows the 6 sequencers (gate 1-4 + filter and delay mod) to modulate the 5 main synthesizer parameters. the destination selector allows you to choose the destination parameter plus the voice being modulated - modulation is displayed in the main synth voice controller.
the B panel contains the effects and sequencing section, and also contains the snapshot controller (identical to the one in panel A). the multimode filter is interesting in that it works either mono or polyphonic, with individual cutoff/resonance/filter-type and panning for each filter band. the Lurker effect works exactly as in the original Lurker, except it contains only 1 delay unit (stereo), and one modulation sequencer.
i hope someone gets some use out of this, despite its somewhat singular sound. it took me about a week of programming full time, stretched out over a 2 month period. note that the ensemble makes use of alot of the new modules in R5 - snap arrays, mouse-areas and poly/multi-displays, as well as a little bit of core (check the filter sequencer sine-shapers). please e-mail me or post here if you have any questions/comments/requests.
thanks go to Mike Daliot for his fascinating Lurker ensemble, which was (of course) the entire basis for this ensemble - excellent job as usual man!
thanks for downloading!
