This sketch is called POPcorn. First, I created a drum loop in Polyplex by randomizing a beat pattern, which I added reverb and a slight delay to. Then, I added strings in Kontakt’s string ensemble and played out a pattern on my MIDI keyboard. I then added a sidechain between the two channels, as well as an additional percussion bell in Polyplex and a slight soft synth in Razor to complete the idea.
Biography
Chino Amobi is the co-founder of NON Records – a progressive collective of Afrodiasporic artists who use sound as their primary media to articulate politically-charged messages. He has recently collaborated with Rabit, Dedekind Cut and DJ Shadow.
