JOB FAQ
How does the application procedure work at Native?
+
You will first receive an automatic email confirmation so you can be sure that we successfully received your application material. The relevant hiring manager will carefully check your documents and get in touch as soon as possible with further information.
In most cases our Talent Acquisition Partners have an initial first video interview with you. In order to get more insight into your skillset, as a next step we prepare an assignment for you to work on. For most Software Engineering roles this will be a coding challenge. For some roles we won't have a take home test, so in this case the next step is an interview with the Hiring Manager via Google Meet.
After passing those stages successfully there will be second interviews with your potential team and peers. It’s very important to us that you understand how our teams and departments work at Native, so this visit will likely require a bit more from you. Depending on the complexity and seniority of the advertised position, you may have up to three, one hour long interviews on the same day.
Once the interview process is complete and all parties are positive about the outcome, we’ll make you an offer.
Please note that we receive many applications on a daily basis, and can’t always get back to you right away - but we will always respond, even if it takes a little longer than you might have hoped. In the meantime, we appreciate your continued patience and interest in Native Instruments.

Can I apply for a job at Native even if I am not a music producer or DJ myself?
+
Yes, and please do! We believe that music plays a role in everyone’s life - whether it’s hands-on production or as a source of creative inspiration. Mostly we’re interested in learning what music means to you.
I don't live in the EU and I don't speak German – will my application still be considered?
+
Of course! Although English is our company language, we are a global, multicultural team. If positions require you to relocate or to have knowledge of the German language, this will be clearly communicated in the job description.
Are there any application deadlines for the jobs advertised?
+
If a position is listed as open on the website, then you are still eligible to apply.
What’s the best way to apply for a job at NI?
+
The easiest way to apply is through our online application form, which generally takes 10 minutes or less. Just click “Apply Now” to open the form, then fill it out and attach your cover letter and CV (please note that the attachment limit is 10 MB, so if your documents are larger than this, you’ll need to mention it in your application and send them later if needed).
Is there a dress code?
+
Our dress code is the same for both candidates and employees: we want you to come and stay as you are. Most of us wear clothing that could be described as business casual - but if you have a passion for fashion, or feel more comfortable working in a suit, please feel free to do so. Just be yourself!
What information and what kind of application documents do you need from me?
+
All applications should include a motivation letter and a resumé in PDF format. Regarding the motivation letters: We really read them! These are of paramount interest to us, because it’s our first opportunity to hear about who you are and what you can do. You can also send us certificates and examples of your work - especially for design-related jobs.
Can I also apply by (e-)mail?
+
Native Instruments is serious about protecting your personal data. Applying via our online application form is the most secure option, and keeps us in compliance with data collection, processing, and usage laws. For more information on our Data Privacy Policy, please check out this page.
Are you interested in internships, working students and speculative applications?
+
We’d love to hear from you even if you can’t find an applicable job on our website. If you’d like to get in touch with one of our recruiters, feel free to reach out on LinkedIn.
Is it possible to do the same job in another city?
+
