DESCRIPTION

This is another block concept pulled from my Electrode 'groovebox' synths - each instrument had a compressor tacked on the end of the signal chain, with a bunch of parameters scaled to one knob.

The compressor is a soft-knee saturating variety. It actually came out of the R5 Factory library but all the scaling, mapping, and connective work is there to make it functional as a single knob.

Results can vary from 'intangibly better' to 'just damn louder'.
Coincidentally, if you turn on the side chain and leave it disconnected, you can get some crazy distortion that is wholly unintentional yet potentially useful.

Thanks, I'm not sure, but I think this might be the first compressor block.
