DESCRIPTION

UPDATE: I added controlling the drones and/or chanter with sustain pedal(CC 64). Or you can use midi learn on a knob to do the same. But don't try both at the same time. It gets weird.
oh. By the way view B has a little read me.

This is a bagpipe synth. Unlike many real bagpipes it can be tuned an entire octave. Also, it can be used in an ensemble more readily. It has up to three drones and a chanter. It doesn't sound likes any know bagpipes but does sound like a bagpipes. Maybe useful for fantasy musics or soundtracks.

At a windcontroller-forum, someone asked for a bagpipe-sound; I recommended your pipes! :-)

I really didn't expect so much activity on this. Thanks guys. windplayer I didn't think of that, with the pedal, I look into it. "Trans" means your DAWs "transport" is Playing then the drones sound.

For sequencing, I just added a gate to two of the three drones. With some fidgeting, on get the pumping action on the drones. It's no biggy; this is the essence of synth - taking the sounds beyond the constraints of pure physicality. Music for the little peeps to trample styrofoam henges to...

Could you explain the functions Tran and Now? How do you switch on the drones if you use them? For using the orcpipes with a windcontroller it would be fine to have a possibility to switch on / off the drones hands free (with a midi toggle command per foot pedal for exemple).

Thanks, windplayer; I didn't process "breath", until later when near sleep. I use a diy breath control for other UL gems, so another great fun discovery to explore now.

It is fine, you can use it with a windcontroller out of the box (by choosing the option "breath").

Wow, this made me laugh so hard; but hey - in a good way. It would be nice to be able to rhythmically "puff" those drones w/a midi trigger, as the perpetuity lacks the goat-bag action. I expected more tomcats-in-a-sack vibes; but this actually works in a dungeon-synthy way. Bagpipes and didgeridoos; Reactor moving into new frontiers...
