Effect Distortion

DESCRIPTION

Reader is a drawable waveshaper effect.

The incoming audio is distorted according to the plot in the central graph. Additional gain and filtering controls are available to further tweak the sound.

The download includes two versions of the ensemble, one mono and the other stereo.

The effect will work on any signal, but best results seem to come from synths, bass, and drums.

Hi Adam I will use this splended waveshaper in an ensemble. I will call it Sønthesizer B1 and upload it here tonight. -Henrik

Sounds great! I really enjoy the well thought out interface. I think it'd be really neat if you could draw Bézier curves.

Impressive! This thing sounds dope, particularly the preset sine wave and the filter. The only downside I've found yet is that when drawing my own waves there are some squeaky artifacts that I think probably come from not being able to get a smooth enough curve using just the mouse. On the whole though, this is great, and I've put it in my library along side my other go-to distortion units (Sausage Fattener, Camel Crusher, Satson Channel), where I think it'll get most use either as a subtle fattening tool during mixdown (the sine fill), or for sound design in my pre-writing phase. The sound quality on this is some serious business, and I'm super impressed by how well it retains sub bass, even with some pretty gnarly distortion curves going on. Thanks!
