Reaktor 5 or lower

DESCRIPTION

Version 5.0
Roland JUNO-60, containing all 112 factory patches.
Use your keyboards modulation wheel to modulate the VCF cutoff frequency.
Use keyboard aftertouch to trigger the LFO.
View B contains the rear side knobs and switches. The "Add On" section provides functions not available in the physical JUNO-60 keyboard.

Changes:
Version 5: Assigned Midi Continuous Controllers to every knob.

Version 4.0:
Added option to synchronize the Arpeggio clock speed to an external clock. See ARP SYNC in view B.

As the key click noise has caused confusion I set it to zero for most patches (see view B). It is ment to add some realism for organ sounds. Key click noise was caused by dirty or worn out key trigger contacts in the earlier days.

Version 3.0: Fixed ARP legato playing problem. Added ARP gate pulse width in view B.
Version 2.1: Fixed some bugs in the Arpeggio section.
Version 1.0: Initial version.

There is something wrong with the cutoff slider when using the modwheel. For example: Load Preset Fanfare Brass. Cutoff Slider is down, but Filter is half open. Now move your mod wheel up and back down. Now the responce of the filter to the slider has changed.

If it lets me post a URL, here is how to fix the "activate" message in Reaktor for older plugins: https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/209555109-REAKTOR-6-Requests-Activation-When-Trying-to-Load-an-Ensemble-in-MASCHINE-2-KOMPLETE-KONTROL

I downloaded everything and it works. The only problem is, when I load it up, it says that reaktor 6 is now in demo mode and I only have access for 30 mins. It has 2 options, buy reaktor, or activate it through native access. I own reaktor though and I've tried activating it again. I got it with my komplete audio 1. When I load up something built into reaktor though, it works. Don't know what to do.

Quick note if you struggle to get it to react to MIDI: You have to use Channel 1.

I use this as my pulse setter for a lot of trailer tracks as well as a high end indie game I just started working on. This will be my go to for years to come because it's that damn good at doing what I want it to do

Tried to use this in Reaktor 5 but it produces a message that it is made with a "newer version" of Reaktor and that I should upgrade

I've owned a couple of Juno-60s and to my ear, this is surprisingly spot on. It pretty much nails the warmth and thickness you get from the original when filtered down and to me, that's the thing that really sets the 60 apart from the 106 and Jupiters. Fantastic job.

This is not physical modeling. It is analog modeling. Please remove "physical modeling" tag.

This is probably the best Juno software synth out there. Any chance of being able to sync the LFO speed to an external clock?

I still don't know why but when I brought up the Reaktor Panel Control for MIDI, this suddenly started working. Anyway, now it works - yay!

I am trying to control the VCA ADSR sliders using MIDI from a DAW, using Reaktor as a plugin. I see the MIDI CC numbers assigned to those controls, but the sliders do not respond to the CC signals coming from the DAW. I started doing this with an earlier version of this synth but in that version the ADSR controls all responded together to one single MIDI CC. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Got a weird problem. When playing a patch with arp enabled with my midi keyboard, I have no problems. However when I program a midi track inside reaper, using the same two notes played live on the midi keyboard, it sounds wrong and "clicky", like it is skipping notes.

Wow. Awesome job! I'm not raving about original unit so I don't really care how close it is to hardware but it's cool to have it for free. Sound is really good which is the most important thing. Cheers!

@Guido Weber: You are a lucky guy - to own a Juno-60. I'd get it checked by a tech though if it sounds like this ;) FWIW, some improvement suggestions: Get rid of the pitch drift - DCOs don't drift. Switch to a single oscillator per voice like the original synth and phase lock the saw/pls/sub components, remove the detuning. Swap out the 4 channel tap modulated chorus for a 2 channel chorus (ideally a clock modulated model like the hardware synth uses). Stick a ~4k 2 pole low pass filter in front of the chorus (like the hardware has). Single oscillators per voice and 2 channel chorus will sound thin! Beef it up by carefully adding subtle saturation in different places where it would naturally occur. A high quality saturating filter, and decent VCA saturation would probably do it... Some of this stuff is already available in the Reaktor factory library (phase locked oscs, sub, OTA style saturating ladder filter) ...Alternatively, just change the name.

@ Colin Brown: I DO have the possibility to do a direct comparison because I'm a proud owner of a real JUNO-60 ("no, sorry, I'm not gonna sell it") and I AM VERY satisfied how close the sound of my replica is compared to the original, thanks to the fantastic piece of software REAKTOR is. It doesn't have to be 200% perfect though, because, after all, you get it for FREE.

The 'soul' to some degree does reside in the chorus. Real Juno uses a juicy sweet analog BBD based chorus with associated filtering and probably companding for noise reduction... here we have a standard digital type chorus, with no attempt at 'modelling' whatsoever. Sorry for being negative, but IMO if you're going to attach an IP infringing knock-off GUI to an ensemble, you are inviting comparisons with the hardware, and this aint even close.

This is a great synth Guido. Thank you. I can't seem to get the ARP to sync to my host. I've set it to 1,2,3 on the ARP SYNC knob and it's just a little out of sync. Is anyone else having this issue?

Uploaded version 5, providing a midi CC for every knob. Hovering the mouse over a knob (turn on "show info hints") will display the CC number. @ Nadir: Use CC 16 to automate the ARP range, use CC 17 to automate the ARP rate, or set "ARP SYNC in view B to a value from1 to 8 to snchronize the ARP to your hosts clock. @ Chris: It does run with Reaktor 5, but you might need to upgrade to a newer version. I'm on 5.9.4 @ gentleclockdivider: The soul of the JUNO-60 lies more in its chorus than in its filters. I might consider a re-write for reaktor 6 as a future project, but I don't expect a big difference in the sound for this particular ensemble. @ All: Thanks for +9000 downloads. Wow.

I loved using this synth! a very, very, nice experience. The sounds I created with this ended up sounding very unique for a Future Bass environment. I just had one problem with it... I couldn't automate the rate or range of the ARP. If you could fix it in the next update that would be amazing, it's a very important feature in my production.

A nice gui with the stock primary filters . NO need to upload this , there are million dozens of synths like this in the user library . It's time to go the core route , reaktor now has fantastic zdf filters . Better use those

The clicking noise is coming from inside the DCO. From the output of the noise oscillator inside the Dual Osc Makro. I'm not entirely positive that this noise generator needs to be there, as when you disconnect it the program runs as normally expected...

Supersorry regarding my prior post !! ^_^ A friend online pointed me only now that the Kclick switch and other settings are already available in the B Panel, so even the chorus has no bugs and no chorus broken. Was just off in there. All fine then ^_^ I missed to look in the second panel. :-) Sorry again

Huge ensamble! Thanks for sharing, found a bug though (maybe) and I have a feature request, if possible :-) Bug: on the preset n 21 Piano 1 Factory Bank B, the chorus fx are not working, no matter if on or off. FR: if possible could you add a switch on the gui to turn off when desired the *Kclick* sound you added by default, which is always on? Many congrats nevertheless. Much fun playing with this. Cheers and thanks

For people like Lars waiting for a fixed arpeggio section: I fixed the problem with the very first (ghost) note, the problem with the hold button enabled and a problem with playing in down-mode where it starts in the lower-most instead of the upper-most octave. There is one last problem to fix with playing legato. This truly brings me to my limits of reaktor knowledge, but I expect to have it fixed in a week or two. Thanks for the flowers!

this piece is soo good ...on its own but also in a chain ... i chained it with ni's replika ( with some of the more reverb settings ) and get some lush but hefty dub deepchord like stabs ... thanks for sharing, should include some audio samples so people know how good it sounds !

Thanks Guido. Actually i don't think it's an easy task to make an arp like the one in Juno 60 in Reaktor including working with Hold function. Don't think i've seen it. It will be awesome if you can do it.

This is a nice ensemble. Like your add-ons and the ensemble/ chorus is very well done. I don't wan't to complain, just inform you, that the first note is not played when using the Arpeggio. It only click. Also when using hold with the Arpeggio then it add notes without stopping earlier notes when tryng to change notes. I don't know if this is the behavior you wan't or made a wrong upload. Thanks for the synth + preset's and for making it for Reaktor 5. Juno 60 Arp in function live: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTRNTRf5ZVI and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_6J-G_yXqE just to show what i'm talking about.
