DESCRIPTION

Version 2 upgrades the FM circuit to a linear algorithm and adds DC filters to the feedback loop, greatly improving the sound. Thanks to Benjamin Poddig for making these modifications, and teaching me a lot in the process as well.

*****
Two DPW oscillators with cross-modulation. DPW stands for differentiated polynomial waveform, which is an anti-aliasing algorithm that has low impact on CPU.

Cross modulation is a feedback style FM effect; each oscillator modulates the other's frequency. The maximum intensity of this effect can be easily edited within the structure.

It also has a Grit feature, which is a mix between a ring modulation effect and a rectifier.

The oscillators also have output attenuators which can be used for amplitude modulation, which help achieve dynamic X-mod and Grit effects.

The oscillator has alternate outputs which bypass the attenuators.

This oscillator is based on macros by Benjamin Poddig. It also contains a rectifier macro from the Euro Reakt series.

Sorry autocorrection corrected 'differentiated' to 'Differentialrechnung'

Thank you for the blocks. I never had such an easy was to interact with these algos and get those greatful sounds out of it. As a sidenote: dpw stands originally for differentiated parabolic waveform. Which I think, please correct me if Im wrong, originates from Välimäki. He also generalized the term to Differentialrechnung polynomial waveform. The waveforms in this Implementation could be best described as differentiated piecewise polynomial waveforms.

Well it sounds really good, regardless.

I added a demo track, with all sounds made by DPW X-Mod. It wasn't my intent, but I think it sounds a little like Orbital. Although, maybe I am just flattering myself...
