Vocoder 1.1
Vocoder based on FlipMu's tutorials
DESCRIPTION
A simple vocoder based on FlipMu's (https://vimeo.com/flipmu) tutorials, using band-pass filters. This is my first real attempt at building anything in Reaktor, so bear that in mind!
It accepts a modulator input and a carrier input. I've added a white noise generator which can be mixed in with the carrier input and modulated. The attack and decay times of the modulator's envelope follower can be changed and there is a pre-emphasis filter in the Modulator signal path to help make speech clearer.
The number of frequency bands can be changed by changing the number of voices in the Function tab of the Properties window. Default is 32.
Version 1.1:
Added modulation of the noise signal level and the decay time
Added pre-emphasis filter to Modulator input
Added envelope follower Attack control
Added button to monitor the Modulator input, after the pre-emphasis filter
A few tweaks to the BP filter frequencies.
TODO:
More intuitive control of frequency band count from the panel(?)
