Input & Output Watcher
Input & Output peak display with (auto anti clipping) gain control, Limiter, Pan & Highpass Filter
DESCRIPTION
Input Macro:
Displays the level of an incoming stereo audio signal, its maximum peak and clipping.
The clip indicator is set to just a minimum below 0 dB, because audio is clipped before Reaktors input and thus never exceeds 0 dB.
Use the Peak Reset to start a new maximum peak detection.
I recommend to insert this directly after Reaktors audio inputs!
Output Macro:
Displays the level of an incoming stereo audio signal, its maximum peak and clipping.
The Gain is calculated autmatically or can be adjusted manually to avoid audio clipping.
I recommend the following steps:
1 - insert the Macro directly before Reaktors output (it combines audio voices inside!)
2 - turn Auto Gain off
3 - build your snapshot & save it
4 - turn Auto Gain on
5 - play your snapshot and watch the Gain being adjusted automatically
6 - turn Auto Gain off, when the absolute maximum peak is detected and the Gain is not changed anymore, save this setting with your snapshot
7 - now use the Gain knob for volume automations (while doing so, do not exceed the auto detected Gain. Doing so will result in clipped audio.)
Version 1.1 (changes for Output Macro, Input is still the same):
- Added some description
- Limiter added (from "FlatBlaster 2.0.2" by Martijn Zwartjes)
- 20Hz highpass filter added for speaker protection
- Pan control added (with swap channel possibility)
- Voice combiner already inside, no need to add them after or before the macro!!!
