DESCRIPTION

This is my first upload to the User Library and my first substantial Reaktor component of any kind.

It's an automation-recording fader (based on the modulation controls in the "Metaphysical Function" ensemble) designed to be dropped into any ensemble.

Metaphysical Function is insanely complicated and I couldn't even begin to work out how it's faders were implemented so I worked from scratch to build one.

When the button is off the fader works in manual mode and the macro outputs a value from 0.0 to 1.0 depending upon the fader position.

When the button is on the fader plays back modulation data. The lower XY displays the current modulation step as a bar moving from left to right.

To arm a fader to record click the lower XY while automation is enabled. It will flash to show the control is armed.

Recording begins when you click on the upper fader and stops when you release the mouse. The lower fader will show the modulation step as recording progresses.

The data is stored in an event table (and a snap array) with 256 steps of recording at 1/16th note resolution tempo sync'd.

This is the first really complicated (at least for me) thing I've built so I'm not sure how well I built it. Feedback would be very welcome.
