Reaktor 5 or lower
Effect Other

DESCRIPTION

major improvements in version 2:
- new pitch and pitch mod section
- now fully controllable via host sequencers
like cubase (midi) or logic (track automation)

-------------------------------

syncskipper is a switched graindelay
which can feed itself and freeze a loop
out of the incoming signal. works good
with breakbeats or speech.

syncskipper is basically the same as my
liveskipper ensemble, but this time the
loop length and granularity is syncronized
to the global tempo, so you always get
exact beat measures.

best wishes

Great effect. Id like to see maybe a control that can make it sound a bit choppier? Like the ability to shorten the skips without changing the speed. More like cd skipping to be more specific.

This is a really interesting tool. All of a sudden I sound like Four Tet live. Gonna have to work on that. Reverse would be nice etc. More features!!!!!

Great device. Any chance of an update that includes triplet repeat times? Also: would it be difficult to 'quantize' mouse clicks so that the stuttering starts on the next full clock pulse (16th, or whatever)?.. (it doesn't already do this right? :) )

wow! k - i'll try that. logic seems a bit crap for alot of VST applications which is a shame - i hope version 6 has sorted it out but i doubt it somehow! is there any way of making reaktor send out the 'gate:gate' automation when you click on the x/y pad? that would mean that you wouldnt have to automate it at all - if that could work then you would be able to record exaxtly what you play in without haveing to approximate the gate button afterwards.........just a thought, but thanx for the time and effort you put into this....i'm only banging on about it coz i like this ens alot!

hello paul, you have to open track automation in logic and then automate the entry "gate:gate". that is the small gate button on the panel. the division can be controlled by the entry "pad:pad x". hope this helps. btw, thanks everybody for the nice words :-)

hello paul, you can find all necessary information in the info text. you sadly have to use track automation in logic. clicking into the xy-pad is for manual control only and can't be recorded in logic, as far as i know.

gaaaaaaaaahhhh! it automates now but it still wont work! is it something to do with the action of clicking on the x/y pad not being automated? maybe its something to do with logic. we're version running 5.5, i might try it on the mac to see if it works on version 6. please help!!!

Ingo, I love this effect. Many thanks for sharing. I too would love to see if it were possible to make the mouse down events automatable in a host sequencer...

any news? on that

hello paul, in it's current state the ensemble only reacts when the x/y pad is operated directly by your mouse, as it was originally designed for live use. i'll upload an improved version soon, please stay tuned...

love this instrument - great for edits and stuff. cant seem to automate it in logic tho. it'll record all my automation but wont play it back. :-( how can i get it to work?

Thanks very much for this very cool effect! Would it be possible to implement some kind of 'smooth' feature for the grains, as they occasionally create rather loud clipping noises, which are cool sometimes, though not all the time. Thanks again! :D

i can't believe this, no "live sampling" style ensemble uploads for ages and then loads of them are uploaded. another winner from the prince of reaktor FX, self oscillate.
