Reaktor 5 or lower

DESCRIPTION

this "Ramps Control Rate" macro, can be found buried in the structure of some of the new reaktor 4 library and so called "classic macros".

it basically helps eliminate "zipping sounds".

what i mean is, sometimes you hear unwanted zipping sounds when you use something like a fader going into a multiplier, (with the other input being an audio signal). so this little macro "smoothes" the event signal (Ramps) going into the multiplier.

i find it more useful than using a smoother.

i didn't make this macro and i don't know who did but it is useful.

i do know that james walker-hall uses them (i think slightly different) in his user library ensembles.

anyway, the upload is a simple demo ensemble that uses 2 of the macros, one to smooth volume changes, the other to smooth panning by an event LFO.

As someone who is suffering from 'zipping' right now this is a timely find! Thanks.

Sorry...but in my opinion, this is a very important upload: I often have to insert some event smoothers, because some people are able to build the most complex reaktor-architectures without realising zipping noises on at least every volume fader (or maybe they don't know the solution). But Phil is right: in some situations the produce other sounds. So I am quite shure I will (have to) use this macro quite a lot... ... and the ens is a very nice demonstration!
