Instrument Sampler

DESCRIPTION

- As the Mellotron plug-ins we were familiar with were not really satisfying, we decided to develop our own Mellotron simulation with the help of Reaktor.
- We have attached great importance to taking into account the tape-related shortcomings of the instrument, such as wow and flutter, distortion and other tape-related effects.
- With Tape Magic - MkII Edition we are primarily concerned with the instrument voices. That is why we have limited the Rhythm & Fill section of the left manual to stations 5 and 6 (This allowed us to not exceed the upload limit of the Reaktor user library).
- This gave room for the instrument voices on the left manual which also offer alternative voice combinations. In any case, it was not uncommon for a studio or band to replace the Rhythm&Fill section of the MkII with the Instrument section of the right manual.
- Organ No: 3 (Original located on Right Manual - Station 5, Track C) was omitted to include the “M300 Strings-A” that were popular with several bands.
- On many recordings of the MkII the built-in spring reverb - only available on the lead manual - wasn’t used. Instead an external studio reverb was used.

- Tape Magic MkII is the first in a series of tape-based instruments that will be continued at a later date.

- New in Version 1.23: the algorithm for handling the presets was changed so that global reset events could no longer occur. The presets have been revised and expanded.

Well, it is a blast for making retro loops w/out the same sames or dopey infringements to worry about. Funny how tech supersedes, then comes back around to be warped anew under advanced forces. Thanks!

Thank you. The left manual works perfectly with us on different hardware. Are you aware that the left manual is triggered by midi notes 19 to 53 and the right manual by midi notes 55 to 89?

Sounds great, unfortunately for me only the right side of the instrument is working. Any idea why?
