DESCRIPTION

A Tall White Fountain-Played is a 4-voice granular synthesizer rack built with Bento, Kodiak, Monark, Modern, Rounds and ToyBox blocks. This rack uses all blocks included in the original NI release or one's available for free from Toybox Audio (https://www.toyboxaudio.com/).

This was designed in a similar fashion as CirrusRack but instead of using the Kodiak FlipGen to create gates for the envelope. These grains are then assigned localized pitches. They are then distributed to a mixer and played through an envelope, lowpass filter, comb filter, and finally the Rounds Reverb to create what is essentially a SuperSaw oscillator with controllable timbre.

Hopefully, I am explaining this in a way that is understandable. The output sound reminiscient of Vangelis' and Hans Zimmers' work in the film Blade Runner 2049. Definitely not that badass but similar thanks to the comb filter. And hence the name is a reference to the Baseline Test administered to Jo after he finds out he might be real and to the classic stanza found in Vladimir Nabokov's 1962 poetic novel, Pale Fire.

Yet again, I would like to stress that this took a lot of work to develop. If you feel inclined, please consider donating to my Paypal here:
