VPM-4
4 OSC FM/PM
DESCRIPTION
A huge blocks patch based on the concept of running 4 VPM Oscillators, with tons of modulation possibilities.
The way the rows are organized are as such:
Global Controls
Mix & Output Controls
Operator Controls
The way I suggest going about using this patch is to use the Minimize View of the rows to allow for compacting controls that are not in use.
Below is more information about specific parts of the patch.
MOD A & B each have a mixer for controlling the amount of the following parameters to be globally applied to all the MOD A & B inputs:
MW - Modulation Wheel
AT - Aftertouch
ENV - Dedicated Modulation Envelope
LFO - Dedicated Modulation Output
The Filter FM Mix inputs are the OSC outputs, PRE-VCA Mixer.
For Operator X/Y control modulation, use the OSC X / OSC Y Mixers that are contained in the Global Controls row, the source 4 modulation inputs is the OSC X/Y LFO Source.
The Operator Modulation source selection is setup so you can switch from either having a dedicated LFO control that parameter, or the Mod Envelope.
Each Operator consists of:
3 LFOs
1 FM Mix
1 PM Mix
1 VPM OSC
1 Mod Env
1 Amp Env
The GATE output of the MIDI to Note is also routed to the OSC Reset in, for allowing for reset-phase related sounds.
The AMP Env for each Operator controls the respective LEVEL in the OSC MIX
The Clock is provided to sync all the LFOs, and the Clock RESET also resets the OSC X/Y LFOs.
