DESCRIPTION

-------------------------------------------------
version 1.03 uploaded

- Fixes to LFOs and Envelopes
- Added some snapshots

-------------------------------------------------

Anagram is a proof of concept synth using the Front Panel Patching framework I created a while back. Special thanks to Paule who designed the knobs.

To connect two points, choose a send object (orange circle) and click on it. Then drag the mouse over to the desired receive point (white circle) and release the mouse button. A wire should be drawn on screen during this process to show you what is happening.

Two files are included - a six voice standalone ensemble, and a mono instrument designed to be used with the Blocks framework. The instrument version can receive up to six external signals from Blocks, and the user can use those signals freely as sound sources or modulators inside Anagram - you can even set up an external Blocks sequencer and have it control the pitch and gate of Anagram by using the 'Aux Pitch' and 'Aux Gate' receivers.

As the entire signal path of Anagram is completely arbitrary, you need to be careful with the setups you create to not have excessive feedback in the audio path - this is your responsibility, and I am not responsible for any poor decisions you may make. Keep your speakers low when experimenting.

The entire process of creating this synth was recorded as a tutorial and uploaded to reaktortutorials.com - it is a couple hours long and includes everything except the creation of the Front Panel Patchbay. The Front Panel Patchbay can be downloaded for free (no subscription required) from this page - https://www.reaktortutorials.com/media/front-panel-patching-in-blocks/62012 - and is free for use in non-commercial projects.

-------------------------------------------------

If you create any snapshots with this and would like to see them added to the official download, please send them to me - salamanderanagram at gmail dot com, and I will credit you both in the ensemble itself and here in description.

-------------------------------------------------

version 1.02 uploaded

- FM behavior for Oscillator 1 changed
- Graphics added to Oscillator 1 to make functionality more apparent.

-------------------------------------------------

version 1.01 uploaded

- tune knob no longer has 'steppy' modulation.
- bug fix with the handling of auxiliary gate values.
- thanks to gentleclockdivider for reports.

That was messd up sorry. Was wondering if you knew of a way of assigning buttons to the "Jacks" so that one could press and hold one button(or maybe a latch function?) And then tap another button to make a connection between two jacks? This would be awesome to implement as it would package all this awesome software in a that easy hardware interface. Any ideas?

not the way people want them to... the wires can't span more than a single block. so you could use them to do internal patching, within a single block. you can even have a block that works as a patchbay and re-wires everything, but all the graphics need to be within that one block, so it's not as neat as i would like, but it's a limitation within reaktor at this point in time unfortunately.

Salamanderanagram, can your Front Panel Patching framework work with Blocks as well?

THat would make sense , cause currently it's verry confusing . Since there is no indication that the pulse wave is excluded from FM .
salamanderanagram

i could make it so that the pulse wave receives FM *if* the PWM input is disconnected....

gentleclockdivider - the sawtooth receives FM and the pulse wave receives PWM

Fm input of oscilator 1 only works when saw wave is selected .

Think i found 2 bug 1- When sequencing anagram with kodiak shift sequencer The decay of anagrams envelopes don't work when using as a mod source . Everything is set up correctly .(aux 1/2 -->aux pitch/gate I tried different hold and gate lengths in kodiak . No luck . Just sequence it and modulate pitch or filter with a decaying envelope ..it won't work Second bug - Modulating tune of osc with an envelope is real steppy , when env.decay is long ..design choise ?
