NATIVE SKETCHES
16 // Myth Syzer
To create this sketch, I just followed my inspiration. I opened Massive and started tweaking a preset until I was satisfied. Then I used my Komplete Kontrol keyboard to record a melody, put it in a loop, and added a simple rhythm with a kick, a snare, and a clap – I worked on that until it had the desired groove. Then I continued the arrangement, layering sounds from Massive, a synth that I particularly like. In total, there are five instances of Massive here: the main pattern, a pad, and then counterpoints that I arranged to create the structure of the song. The first sound is my own creation, and the others are presets (Hive-Bee, Etheral, Dude, and Creamy Winter). I finished with a touch of EQ, compression, and reverb.
