NATIVE SKETCHES
14 // Hajjimus Prime
George Duke strikes again! This here has a bouncy, J. Cole-type feel to it. The preset is called Gouda Soul, but I can assure you it's far from cheesy! I had a lot of fun playing around with the flute from Symphony Essentials Woodwind Solo on this track too. Battery 4’s Thirty Threes kit gave the whole thing some punch, and then I added the Scarbee Pre-Bass, run through Guitar Rig 5. I always add the bass last. This sketch is called Winter Boots – I had boots on that evening for some reason, and I felt like it went well with the track.

Biography
Hajj Prime grew up in Gary, Indiana – a city best known as the birthplace of Michael Jackson and, of course, home of Sketches alumnae Jlin. Early on, Hajj knew that he wanted to make a name for himself as a musician. A self-described "musically-inclined band geek," he wrote instrumental music before moving on to the stages of Chicago's hip hop venues, opening for industry names like Mos Def and Just Blaze. Today he wears many hats, including producer, composer, songwriter, audio engineer, and photographer.
