I sketched this track out using the instruments and presets in a mostly unaltered form since most of them sound highly inspiring and great as they are. My goal here was to show how you can get good sounding results very quickly, and to show what the synths and plug-ins can offer right away (as opposed to the very abstract and experimental approach that I like to take sometimes as well). In this example here, I used Evolve Mutations (Strange Harmonics preset), Balinese Gamelan (Synth Core Instruments preset) and Rounds (Lost preset).
Biography
Berlin-based electronic producer and sound designer, Ben Lukas Boysen has been in contact with music and arts from a very young age: classically trained from age 7, he began experimenting with samplers and tape loops at 16. Since setting up studio project HECQ Audio in 2008, he has produced many albums and created custom sound design for films, commercials and installations. His most recent album Gravity was released on Erased Tapes.
