Reaktor 6

DESCRIPTION

This is an edit of the Blocks Building Template that offers two advantages for builders

- All knobs and other controls have been 'grouped' by macro to take advantage of new features in 6.03. This allows the builder to move panel elements with much greater ease than before.

- The structure of several elements have been modified to allow the Blocks created to be used in a polyphonic ensemble. This allows your structures to be used either as monophonic Blocks, or as polyphonic macros for other projects.

I have checked over this ensemble for errors a few times but it's possible some slipped through the cracks. If you find any let me know and I will do my best to fix.

Requires Reaktor 6.03 or higher

Hi Brett, AFAIK that's not an error - in fact if you look at the image properties of the respective Poly Displays, you'll see one of the images has 128 frames and the other has 130. Why NI did it this way, I have no idea. Anyway, if it's causing tangible display errors, let me know and I'll take a closer look.

A small error, the poly display's multiplier is set to 129 in Dark on Light macro, and 127 in Light on Dark. Just letting you know!

This whole naming convention scheme is like I made a C++ template and required everyone to label the calling sequences: "Param 1", "Param 2", "Param 3", etc. But the parameters are integer and the called function expects floats. Any compiler would barf at that and new students would be confused as hell. But NI can get away with it because they make the rules. I'm really upset, yes.

I can't argue with that, but NI made that convention, not us. Seems a shame they don't all get along over there.

yeah i know that reallly bothers you! i don't have a problem with it really - i am just keeping with the existing naming conventions so as not to confuse anybody. i want the building experience with this template to be identical to the official template, with the sole difference being the easy switch to poly.

The display latched outputs are labeled as event busses {}. That is not right. The standard block template is wrong about that.
