DESCRIPTION

update version 2.3:
Fixed a lot of technical/graphical issues with the multimode frequency circle. Mode button keeps its position when you enter a core module. Mod indicators are showing correctly now for all four modes. Added different color schemes for each mode. Sync mode has a wider range from 1/1024 steps - 4 bars; remember to update the core macro to compliment these changes.
-Fixed an issue where xy pad components were being mislayered.
--
This block template adds 2 extra mod inputs (CD) to be used within your block. I have provided 22 mod controls that are compatible with these changes:
- 1 multimode circle knob with 4 modes (hz, pitch, beat sync, time in ms)
-- added 2 new modes: beat sync (1/1024 step - 4 Bars) and time (1 - 9999 ms)
+ I've included a modified version of the core macro 'OSC Tuning' that support the last two modes. For oscillator support sync and time mode outputs as hz as oppose to milliseconds. These last two mode can be easily circumvented by changing the value found in the 'mode' core module.
-4 different sized knobs (In Uni and BP) (XL, L, M, S)
-6 different sized buttons (L,M,S), first 3 gate buttons, last 3 are toggle.
-1 multimode hz/semitone large knob with fine tuning.
-1 vertical fader
-1 horizontal fader
- 2 kinds of toggle switches
- 1 XY pad (with mod control of X Y coordinates)
- 1 List Button
-- increment by clicking left mouse, decrement with right, the middle mouse button resets to zero. It currently has 7 options but is easily changed in the panel macro. This control also requires a slightly modified core module so that it can output an integer based on what mode/option is selected.

These controls are available in either dark or light theme.

This is an ongoing effort to push Blocks's boundaries further and support complicated blocks that would benefit from more mod inputs. I would hope that people would feel compelled to try using this template in their future projects. Special thanks to Efflam Le Bivic for making the XL knobs.

Notes:
The buttons and xy pad will not function unless they are fully connected. Also be sure to look at the Process Macros Core module. It contains the modified 'Smooth + ABCD Mod' modules that make the extra inputs possible.

I haven't gotten the error message, after creating snapshots and doing actions that would have caused it before. It seems to be fixed!

Thank you very much for continuing to update this. I will update my blocks tonight and let you know how it goes.

Try it now, the loop message doesn't seem to be appearing now. the reason for it I guess was because the event loop includes a core cell. I resolved it with another event smoother set to 1 ms. Interestingly, that section of code is from the original block template.

And I just realized it happens when saving ensemble snapshots too which defeats the workaround.

It still happens when saving new snapshots. Save an instrument snapshot, then select a different mod button, then reload the snapshot to get the error message. The workaround is to create your snapshots, then replace the A/B/C/D macro with a new one from the template. Even with "Include in snapshots" off this still happens. I hope you fix it, sorry I can't help more.

I think that in addition you need to turn "Include in snapshots" off for the A/B/C/D buttons, and the D button has "default = on" on by mistake. I'm not sure if this was contributing to the problem as well.

Excellent, seems good to go now. Thanks again.

Yes I've noticed that. I think I fixed the problem. Just replace the abcd Buttons macro with the new one. Let me know if this helps

Hi, thanks for updating this. You might have noticed my recent uploads use it. I was hoping you might know why they have an event loop when switching instrument snapshots. You can test this with my ladder filters, it seems to happen once per project.

Thanks Ken. Glad to see someone taking advantage of this template. Also, if anyone has a suggestion for a different knob/control, I'm looking for ideas!

Great job, thank you very much for posting this and continuing to expand it.

This is a great idea - I hope more people will implement this in their blocks. It's a great way to approach point to point modulation of only exactly the parameters you want to modify. Thanks!
