Reaktor 5 or lower

DESCRIPTION

This version corrects the Macintosh "click" bug, thanks to the CA engine patched by Chris List (thanks!).
The sound is different too... I changed some oscillators and included a resonator.

Enjoy :)

Change the kHz to 88.2 or 176.4, that got it working for me.

What's the secret to getting Aero to make sounds? I read where you just leave it and it makes sound after awhile I tried but nothing. Tried it on Mountain Lion 10.8 in Reactor 5.

Got it to work in r6 by reserving through r5 https://www.native-instruments.com/en/reaktor-community/reaktor-user-library/entry/show/12297/

could someone with reaktor 5 maybe try to resave this and reupload to see if it will then work properly in 6?

I would actually love to have a version of this working in reaktor 6 with unjumbled controls. I've been trying to rearange them but having a hard time getting the macro frames to not be huge. i imagine there are invisible ui elements which are preventing the frames from resizing but can't find them. any ideas on how to approach this?
david bick

huh, sound works for me but the ui is all jumbled. sounds great though.

similar problem in Reaktor 6--UI, but no sound?

I have Reactor 6 Player and Aero does not work in it - download is mere UI - nothing else.

Months ago, I loaned the CD "World Receiver" by Tetsu Inoue to a friend and never got it back. Now that I have Aero v4.0 to run on my Macintosh, I don't miss the CD anymore. Seriously though - would you happen to know if Tetsu Inoue has used this ensemble in his more recent works? Amazingly similar. Wonderful stuff coming from my speakers.

I love this ensemble! In my opinion it's better than any of the factory ensembles. I could do a whole track using only this. Layering is the key! ;) Great work! I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

I think the type of spontaneous you might mean is pressing randomize ? For me the main (maybe only) flaw with this synth is the ability to fluidly input my personality... maybe it's just me not connecting with the synth proper ? Or maybe it's the fact that the synth is dominated by to many buttons and numericals ? Difficult to shape waves with an on / off button.

I think David was too harsh. This is spontaneous at the flick of a click. Fun for sure, and very worth your while-ing away the time of day.

ok,ok.i might have been a bit harsh above.it has a nice sound and it looks good.but i still stick with what i said.its obviously meant to be for programers not sound designers.whats your opinion?
David Bowes

needed to be fun. it isnt needed to be spontaneous. it isnt needed to be worth my time. it wasnt

Very nice sounds from this generative ensemble. I had it going for 10-15 minutes while I did other things in the room, and was consistently amazed at the beautiful sounds.

I listen to it for 15 minutes now and i feel relaxed! There are no repetations so far. You can record it for 60 minutes und sell it as an ambient-cd :)

I was right – it IS extraordinary. Thank you for fixing it for Mac users, Roberto (G4 dual 800). Endlessly fascinating, une belle laide :-)

Fantastic - I love the interplay between tempo, randominity, and a musical scale - I give it 10

As I thought. I will try to split each matrix in two matrixes... maybe a lower number of cells (a shorter loop cycle) will help to make the transition faster and with no clicks. Anybody wanting to help me with the test? :)
John Koranek

Roberto-I played around with this a little more and I have some new info. The clicks are coming at the end of multisequencer windows. As the play wiper hits the end, and the next generation gets drawn, there is an audible click, regardless of the length. If I press "hold" so that the CA stays the same, it cycles over and over without any clicks. This happens for every multisequencer, even if the audio is turned down.

By the way, I use it with an XP 2000+ at 44K without problems...

I'm sorry... it seems that every ensemble I make causes problems with mac :(. Try lowering the "len" maximum value in each automation panel, by setting the max value in the property window to 16 or 8. This could help, because each matrix iteration is a loop, and when it happens with big matrixes (32 steps, for example) or, worse, when all matrixes iterate at the same time, these loops cause a short hang, which can be your problem. Also try pressing the "hold" buttons in the automation panels, stopping the iterations, to verify that it is the problem. Hope this helps!

This ensemble would be absolutely incredible but random clicks on a G4 dual 800 make it unusable for me. I'm gutted :-(

when you described as a "generative drone" i was put off. this is much more than a drone, i agree with everything that Mr Hoppers says.

sounds great man..nice work!
Roberto Noris

Sometimes some clicks can be heard while the CA matrixes iterate, but I'm not sure this is the problem. You can try reducing the "len" range of the matrixes (for example setting 16 as max in the property panel) so there will be less cells being updated.

Yes, fantastic. My most loved drone generator so far (at least this is my spontaneous reaction ;-)

I like this ensemble, but I'm getting random clicks on my Apple Dual 533 G4 under OS 10.3.5. Reaktor only shows a 50% CPU. Tried playing with buffer settings but it didn't matter.
