Ricky's 303
Roland TB-303 emulation
DESCRIPTION
Wow, 11 years since my last upload :)
I've tried to emulate my 303 so i can bring it with me leaving the precious one at home :)
I know there are a couple of commercial products that probably sounds better than this, but i want it into Reaktor so i can integrate it with the other stuff, also this one is free :) Honestly i'm quite happy with the result, particularly for the SAW wave that is quite near the original one, SQUARE instead is a bit different but i wasn't able to make it better for now, if anyone has some ideas are more than welcome.
About the filter part and relative knobs i've made them listening to the original one and tried to let them behave the same, including the range.
Sequencer part is very basic, it works exactly like the original one, except for the slide flag, that has to be enabled to the step that will be slided instead of the step before, it has more sense to me and works better this way.
Also, like the original, a slided note can't be accented so putting an accent in the same step of a slide will have no effect.
As a side effect, slide will override also the "on" flag, so if you want a pause for that step you must turn off "slide" aswell as "on".
I've added a "Vol Fix" button, this will lower the volume when there is low resonance in order to compensate for the Ladder filter behaviour, so you'll have the same volume when you play with knobs.
You can shorten the loop using start/end values, fix sync and move the sequence offset.
Lastly, i've added a randomizer with scales to automatically make patterns, very funny and useful :)
There is no link to make longer patterns (i don't need longer patterns for techno ^_^ ), you have to play with snapshot to achieve that, i tried and it works perfectly, just send the snapshot change command a bit earlier (between the last 16th and the first of the next bar) and it will link fine keeping eventual slides that overlaps between bars.
Needs Reaktor 6.4.0 or higher.
That's all, have fun with this early Christmas present and Merry Christmas to everyone :)
