DESCRIPTION

Circle Sync DDL Stereo VERSION 1.1
Old-fashioned Block.
A hybrid of Michael Hetrick’s Circle Delay and the Sync mode of NI’s Rounds Delay.
This delay effect is intuitive and easy to use: 2 taps, both built on a Host Sync clock.

The controls are from Circle Delay, apart from the 2 Taps borrowed from Rounds’ Sync.
The inputs and Mix outputs are stereo.
Plug your choice of clock signal into the Gate input.
Use it with self-reinforcing taps to make rich ‘normal’ delay textures.
Use it with antagonistic taps to make ‘dream sequence’ textures.
Version 1.1 bugfix: enabled use of S.RATE control.
It takes a little time to 'kick in.' Modulating it gets a very drunk delay sound. ;-)
Enjoy!

@Claude. Thank you. Do you mean via a MIDI CC controller? I have little experience with incoming MIDI, but I'll explore around to see if there's an example I can model.

Catman: I like this quite a bit. My only wish would be to control the time through midi..

Danke, Paule. Zwischen uns war ich ehrlich überrascht, wie sehr ich den Effekt mag!

Quiet good, David.

Sample Rate changes implemented. If unmodulated it takes a little time to settle, but the effect is useable, rougher than at full SR. Modulated, maybe useful for comic effect. @Philippe, actually Rounds does have provision for such changes. Go into Rounds Delay structure. Process -> Rounds Delay -> Delay macro has 2 inputs, '.r' and '.c', unused by default but available for just such changes.

Well, no SR reducer in Rounds Delay as in the Circle Delay.

I'll look at the original tomorrow. Probably I disconnected something.

Philippe, you're right. The VarSR bundle is unconnected. David, do you want to connect it on the two Xfade (lin) bundles?

@catman me too, no need to push it. As I started to try A/B mod on Xfade or D/W, it just happened I wired an LFO which was set to a saw waveform... But as I said, same for Euro Reakt. The S.Rate stuff is not connected to anything in Process,IMO. I might be wrong though. And it's very nice to make endless sequences

Philippe, Paule, I haven't heard any artifacts yet because, I suppose, I have a taste for 'calm effects'. I will try to push it harder to figure out where they come from.

Only with non sine/tri waveforms

Thanks David. This is the calm effect you like. Philippe, please use higher FB settings.

Artifacts also present in the Euro Reakt original

Do somebody hear any effect of the S.Rate knob ? Also, glitches when modulating Xfade or D/W, for example ? Except that, cool to have tempo related delay values.
